Roslivan President Mohamed Nassereldine Participates as Lebanese International Observer in Russian State Duma Elections

Mohamed Nassereldine, President of the Russian–Lebanese Cooperation Office “Roslivan” and President of the Center for International Cooperation with the Middle East and North Africa “CIEC-MENA,” participated as a Lebanese international observer in the Russian State Duma elections.

Nassereldine followed the electoral process from the main election monitoring headquarters in Moscow, where he reviewed different stages of voting and the procedures used in the electoral process.

Speaking to Russian media, Nassereldine said that holding the parliamentary elections amid the current international circumstances carried particular significance for Russia.

He said that during his observation he noticed participation by voters from different age groups and described the turnout he personally observed as significant.

According to Nassereldine, the participation he witnessed reflected, in his assessment, a level of confidence among voters in the Russian leadership and in its political choices, particularly in the field of foreign policy.

He also described the electoral participation as a message to Western countries and other critics of Russia, expressing his view that efforts to negatively portray Russia had not achieved their objectives.

Nassereldine expressed satisfaction with the way the electoral process was conducted during his observation and praised the organization and procedures he witnessed during voting and monitoring.

His participation as an international observer comes within the framework of his ongoing activities aimed at developing communication and relations between Lebanon and Russia.
